RACE PROCEDURE

New Top Dawg Race Procedure
Gates open at 1:00pm
In order to quicken the pace on Top Dawg qualifying a new procedure will be started as of the May race.
Round one qualifying
1st round qualifying will be with a random draw. The draw will be held at 2:30 pm.
Each driver will pick a card; this card will determine their lane assignment and qualifying order. Example: driver draws a red 3, he will be the third car in the right lane, driver draws a black 5 he would be the fifth car in the left lane. If there is no car in front on the drawn card the driver will move up one spot. Example: driver draws a red 10 and there is no red nine this driver would move into that spot. All drivers will be notified of the order 15 min before the round. If a team is late and misses the draw they must go first in line or wait for round two. The race director will determine if a new driver will need to run a single on their first run, if so that car will run first.
Round two qualifying
Round two order will be determined by qualifying performance of the previous round. If you were the #1 qualifier in round one you would go last. All cars will alternate lanes from the first round. If a car decides to sit out the round they will alternate lanes on the third round. Drivers will be notified 10 minutes before the next round.
Round three qualifying
Round three qualifying will be determined by performance from the 2nd round, if you did not make an attempt in 2nd round be prepared to go first in the 3rd round. If the two drivers running each other have run both lanes they will draw for lane choice.

Other notes
If a car is not ready when called for, their run they will not be allowed to make up the run.  You can run in the back but it will not be an official attempt.
Please make sure your crew brings weight if your car is light. You will be allowed time to add weight but you cannot go back to the pits. You must install the weight in the lanes; we will only skip one pair to allow you to add the weight. If you are the last car we will allow 3 minutes.   If two cars have done a burnout and are then shutoff by the track official then they will be allowed to move to the back of the line.
We hope that this will help put on a better show and over things along quicker during the night. We need to have the race completed by no later than 10:00 pm for the sake of our fans and neighbors.
1.  Qualifying will start on track at 3:00 pm with the first two cars.
2.  All cars must stop at scales during qualifying and eliminations.
3.  All cars must display permanent number.
4.  No break rule.
5.  All cars must have battery and starter (push starting only in emergency situations).
6.  There will be 2 official qualifying sessions unless circumstances dictate otherwise.
7.  During eliminations any vehicle starting a run before the tree is activated will be disqualified. If both vehicles leave before tree is activated, there will be a rerun.
8.  Qualifying:  If a car takes the green light or leaves before the tree comes on, it is an official qualifying run.  If car breaks before staging, you have  until the end of the round to qualify.  If the last car to qualify breaks in  the bleach box, you have 5 minutes.  All qualifying will be run on Compulink Auto Start Tree.
9.  Eliminations:  Once a car is in the bleach box, car must make run within 2 minutes  after being directed to do so, or will be disqualified.  Both cars  must pre-stage before staging.  All eliminations will be run on Compulink Auto Start Tree.
10.  The elimination ladder will be set as follows:  Pro ladder  *NEW*
11.  Should a qualified car break, alternate will be placed on ladder in broken  cars place in round 1 only.  Qualified car will receive 1st round loser  purse.  Other round money goes to alternate.

Race director may waive, amend, or modify any rule at any time for any single occurrence and for any good cause.
